Aberdeen Art Gallery
This exhibition celebrates the 125th anniversary of Aberdeen Art Gallery and shows a selection of the most significant items in the collections. Fine and Decorative Art, Archaeology and objects from the Industrial, Maritime and Scientific collections reflect the initial concept of an Art Gallery and Industrial Museum.
Edwardian Splendour

Provost Skene's House
On the 6th May 1910 exactly 100 years ago King Edward VII passed away bringing to an end the brief but heady years of the Edwardian period. Like its King, Edwardian society was larger than life, with a swirl of balls, dinners and weekend-long country house parties.
North Sea Passenger Lines

This new display on the Gallery balcony explores artists' depictions of water in paintings of the sea, rivers and canals. It includes works by Alfred Sisley, SJ Peploe, JD Fergusson and LS Lowry.
Teapots

A small display of teapots from the Decorative Art collection that charts the changing shape of this functional and decorative object. From early 18th century teapots by Aberdeen silversmiths to ceramic examples made by modern makers including Wally Keeler.
The Caring Profession

In the International Year of the Nurse, we look at the development of professional nursing in Aberdeen from the late 1800s to the present day. This exhibition explores how the nurse's role has changed over the last 150 years using artefacts and memories from North East nurses.
New Acquisition: Spin by Ritsue Mishima

This spiralling glass sculpture was gifted to Aberdeen Art Gallery & Museums after success at The Art Fund Collect competition which took place in May this year. Preoccupied with movement and light Ristue Mishima creates her innovative designs in collaboration with traditional Venetian glassblowers.
