Just came off a truck from Edinburgh

Posted by Jennifer Melville on Friday 30 October 2009

A 7am start at the National Gallery where they have an amazing lift that comes out of the floor and has a James Bond-style opening through the highly decorated sandstone facade (complete with capitals, acanthus leaves and a fake door). The works returning were part of the exhibition "Discovery of Spain" now almost dismantled and soon to be replaced by 'Paul Sandby' which I am sure will be great. As a courier we sit on an upper floor of the truck so amazing views in spite of the constant rain.
